I recently met a guy who gave a talk at a small marketing event. The presentation was outstanding, however, at the end of the presentation when some of us came up to talk to him, he handed us his business card... it was a mess!
I wondered how someone who had just talked about marketing well could have presented themselves so badly and stood out for all the wrong reason... it was like the complete opposite of Seth Godin's purple cow.
