The Most Important part of the Marketing Process

What is the most important part in the marketing process? Undoubtedly, the answer would vary according to who was asked.

The customer assumes that they are the most important part because they are the ones actually demanding a certain product or service, and should therefore be the focus.

The market research agency says it is their work that is the most important part because they know exactly what consumers want and think... even if they don't say this out loud.

The CMO (Chief Marketing Officer) is convinced that they are the most important part because it is his/her ability to analyze and synthesise everything that ensures certain strategies are created and implemented

The creative claim that they are the most important part because it is their idea that can be the difference in triggering a sale of the product or service.

The designer thinks that his work is the most important because it is he/she who defines the aesthetics and functionality of the campaign.

The digital marketing geek feels they are, undoubtedly, the most important since the trend of advertising is towards the web and it is from there that consumers are taking power.

The marketing producer knows they are the most important because, to put it simply, without him or her no marketing material would reach the mass media.

The brand claims to be the most important part of the marketing process because it is the brand, and not the product, that customers can relate with, and therefore motivates the customer to buy.

And the reality is that none of the above right... and all of it is right too. In marketing, as in a large tower of cards, if a card fails, the whole thing falls apart.

In marketing, one plus one always adds up to three... it's a matter of synergy. (Tweet this)

Customers, market scholars, CMOs, designers, creatives, digital marketers, producers, media planners, brands. All are completely different, and yet, brothers of the same fascinating process that we live daily called marketing.
